On May 9-12, after a four-year break, Munich, Germany hosted one of the world's largest international events in the transport and logistics industry - the exhibition and conference "Transport Logistics" and the exhibition of aviation carriers "AirCargo 2023".
More than 2,300 participants from 67 countries presented their products and services in 10 exhibition halls covering an impressively large area of 127,000 square meters.
The first ever "Transport Logistic" exhibition was held in Munich back in 1978 and, and the 2023 event is so far the most widely represented expo in the history of "Transport Logistic".
Latvian companies have participated in the expo with national Latvian stand since 1997. This year, the Latvian national stand VIA Latvia gathered a delegation of more than 40 transport and logistics experts from Riga and Ventspils Free Port Authority and terminals, Liepāja SEZ Authority with its terminals, SJSC "Latvijas dzelzceļš" (Latvian Railway) with companies as well as SIA "Baltreiss", and it was led by the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport Uldis Reimanis.
VIA Latvia stand was also represented in the parallel "AirCargo 2023" exhibition, gathering several companies of the Latvian Aviation Association in one stand.
Overall, the expo agenda was intense and successful. All Latvian participants highly appreciated the well-organized event its benefits and plan to participate in the exhibition in 2025 as well.
